CONDITION;THE LITHOGRAPH IS DATED ON THE RIGHT HAND BOTTOM CORNER TO 1926 .THE FRAME SHOWS AGE AND CHIPS ,THE LITHOGRAPH SHOWS SOME FADING AND AGE ,SOME SCRATCHES AND WEAR .SEE PICTURES,PLEASE.THE FRAME HAS NO GLASS .THE CHAIN TO HANG THE PICTURES SHOWS WEAR AND RUST.

One of the greatest works of Franz Marc is Red Horses, depicting two horses grazing and one drinking from a brook. Franz Marc was by 1911 becoming a master of symbolism through the use of colour as brought out in “Red horses”.

Franz Marc, (born February 8, 1880, Munich, Germany—died March 4, 1916, near Verdun, France), German painter and printmaker who is known for the intense mysticism of his paintings of animals. He was a founding member of Der Blaue Reiter (“The Blue Rider”), an association of German Expressionist artists.
