Meiji Period Japan Arita Imari Karako Blue & White Ceramic Bowl .

Late Meiji era Japanese porcelain bowl with deep cobalt stenciled decoration depicting cherry trees in blossom and in the centre of the bowl a phoenix bird with open wings.just gorgeous.

It has a pronounced foot ring.

It measures: D 8.5 '' or 21.5 cm approx.

H 3.5 '' or 9 cm approx.

O.8 KG APPROX.

Condition

In very good condition;no chips or cracks.Some small shallow scratches in the centre of the bowl .Inherent firing flaws, such as pitting.
