An attractively shaped blue and white Jasperware Trinket Box by Wedgwood.
The Box is oval. The fluted top depicting in white relief, a trio of Cherubs driving an elaborate carriage pulled by two lions.
It has a narrow border of tiny flowers and leaves in white relief.
The shape of the bottom of the box echoes the fluted top.
It is decorated with four different scenes in white relief –two of cherubs at play and two of Classical figures.
The base has impressed Wedgwood marks dating around the l960’s.
Good vintage condition.See pictures,please.THE COLOUR IS SLIGHTLY LIGHTER THAN IN THE PICTURES.
