Antique Hungarian Berlin Wool Work Tapestry Depicting Courting Scene With Cupid and Gondola C Mid 1800's.
Absolutely gorgeous truly antique Berlin wool work tapestry that will make a stunning addition to any wall gallery.
I purchased this piece from the owner, who was downsizing, and she told me the tapestry was passed down form her mother, and belonged to the grandmother of her mother who was from Hungary, in those days called the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
She was sad to let it go but happy that I really appreciate it.
I've been conservative when pricing, considering it does not come with a frame.
It had a new frame so I decided to dispose it as it does not belong with the piece and the new lucky owner will be able to choose a frame that suits this beautiful tapestry. Also it will make shipping cost abroad a lot more affordable.
The piece is in very good condition considering age. Overall very good.
