Domingo Punter and his children have a background of five generations of ceramic makers from Teruel (Aragón), in the northern part of Spain.

This is a very unique type of ceramic; there is nothing like this in the world. It's indeed very special and a tremendous amount of work goes in to theses pieces. This ceramic is very dense, so the pieces are surprisingly heavy. The clay in this part of Spain is very dark red, which gives this craftsmanship a very unique look.

What they do is reproduce the Spanish Romanic style ceramic from the XIV century. As you can see, the design is very primitive and they only use black and green, which were the colours used during that period.
