The back is signed Caltagirone 85.

Beautifully handcrafted by Italian artisans in Caltagirone. This wall plate will look amazing on your gallery wall or mixed with other Mediterranean wall decor.

Caltagirone is a type of Sicilian Pottery traditionally painted and handcrafted in Caltagirone. These plates are known by their vibrant colours and intricate designs. They are made from clay, shaped by hand and after a first firing the plate is cooled and immerse in white enamel before being decorated and fired again. Each piece is a labor of love and art.

Condition; excellent, minimal wear.
