Beutiful Mfarta studio glass owl paperweight.
Mtarfa Glass was founded in 1979 in Malta, by Paul Said, brother of Joseph Said, owner of Medina Glass. Both brothers were originally trained by Michael Harris at Medina Glass. Mtarfa Glass is similar in form to Medina Glass and other Maltese glassware, consisting of free formed glass made in colours taken from the surrounding sea and landscape of the Mediterranean. More than 20 years later, Mtarfa rebranded / renamed to Valletta Glass, and is still in operation today.
This beautiful paperweight will be a great addition to any collection, quite rare I have not seen other like this on sale.
