They've been finely cast in the Neo-Classical style with beautiful ornate Corinthian columns. One of the candle sticks is marked with a sun , which is the mark for William Tonks and Sons.
C late 1800's.
This rare and high quality pair of candlestick holders from the renowned makers William Tonks & Sons would make a nice decorative addition to any quality desk or interior.
William Tonks & Sons was founded in 1789 by William Tonks and specialised in making high quality decorative brass items.
Condition; tiny dents, some tarnishing and wear .Solidly made . Missing the dripping pans.
